Managerial and Organizational Factors Affecting Information Technology Acceptance in Schools: Teachers’ Viewpoints

The current research aimed to study the managerial and organizational factors affecting information technology acceptance in schools from teachers’ viewpoint. In order to do so, 308 teachers were chosen as the research sample through stratified sampling. Required data concerning the variables of research was collected through two questionnaire and analyzed using the path analysis method. The findings showed that among the factors studied, the IT alignment with organizational objectives, and education and culture making positively influence on perceived ease and perceived usefulness of use information technology, but the effects of other managerial and organizational factors on perceived ease and usefulness of use information technology were not significant. Meanwhile, the effects of the dimensions of technology adoption model on each other (perceived ease on perceived usefulness, perceived ease and usefulness on attitude toward use of information technology, attitude toward use on behavioral intention to use information technology) were positive and significant. Finally, it was concluded that should be coordination among managerial and organizational factors and the adoption of information technology by teachers to the successful application of information technology in schools increase in the long term.
